Brief Description:  All avionics fully functional

This is my first post in over a year. I had to rebuild my build log due to a computer issue. I've been documenting the build process along the way and have much to catch up on.

I'm at the stage now where the avionics are all working and there is no smoke!

The Garmin 496 integrates with the D180 with no issues. The HSI works great. The transponder was the last piece to have the wiring completed.

After firing up the avionics, I had no difficulty hearing the control tower from 5 miles away while in my garage. The VP-100 works great and really is a easy unit to setup.

I still have to wire up my warning lights and microswitches

Prior to any of the avionics being turned on, I ensured that every wire was tested for continuity...it was a lot of work, but completely necessary to ensure no smoke and wrecking some expensive units.

I'm soon going to remove the gear and finalize some grinding on the attachment brackets due to the grove gear.

I will hopefully have a pre-close inspection completed by mid April, button up the front end and start the firewall forward work.

That Superior IO-360 will look nice on the front end of this bird!
